Weather Warning "Summer Thunderstorms in Upper Thailand " No. 8 Time Issued : April 2, 2020
The high-pressure system covers Laos, Vietnam and the South China Sea while the southerly and the southeasterly winds blow in with the humidity from the South China Sea to the Northeast, the East, the Central and the lower North regions where hot to very hot condition rules. Outbreaks of summer storms will be forecast for upper Thailand. It also accompanies with thunderstorms, lighting strikes and gusty winds, and hail is possible for some areas. People in upper Thailand should stay safe from the severe weather conditions by keeping off outdoor places, large trees and unsecured buildings. Farmers should prevent for crops damage.
Affected areas are as follows:
2-3 April 2020
North: Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri and Saraburi, including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
